Built into my test vehicle was a 6.2-liter V8 engine with the potential to unleash 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. With its ability to supercharge the V8 engine, the ZL1 model—representing the pinnacle of technological advancement—can generate 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
This car was tailor-made for my engine; not only could it get going quickly enough, but it also handled everyday driving with ease. Engines that are bigger or stronger are thought to be automatically better. The engine I had, however, was a superb fit for the car. A rev-matching mechanism is standard on my vehicle’s six-speed manual transmission.
