2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs, Engine, MPG

2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs, Engine, MPG   –   After decades of speculation, a long-awaited mid-engine Corvette has debuted for the 2020 model year. A hybrid engine, all-wheel drive, and standard all-season tires are just a few of the odd features that will be available on the 2024 Corvette SUV. Worry not, though; the hybrid Corvette SUV is just as handsome as the rest of the C8 lineup and is among the most powerful sports cars on the market. In other words, it’s designed to go further and quicker on a single tank of petrol.

Exterior and Interior

While the engine of the Corvette SUV is new, the inside is very similar to that of the Stingray and Z06 models. Although it only has room for two passengers, this vehicle offers a wide variety of personalization choices, including as carbon fiber, leather, fake suede, and metal. The convertible is much like any other car. Additionally, with the top folded down, the rear trunk can accommodate two golf bags, while the front trunk, albeit smaller, may hold a limited amount of baggage or freight.2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Interior

The driver is seated behind a steering wheel that is squared off. A 12-inch, customizable gauge display, a big infotainment touchscreen facing the driver for easier use, and more are all part of the amenities. There are distinct portions on the panel that show the torque and power of the gas engine and the electric motor. The interior design takes the driver-focused idea to its logical conclusion with the addition of what we call the Great Wall of HVAC Controls. A set of controls for the vehicle’s climate control system is located above this tall partition that divides the cockpit in half.   2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs

Centrally mounted on the Corvette is a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that transfers 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque to the rear axles. A 1.9 kilowatt-hour battery pack is situated between the seats of the Corvette SUV, which powers an electric motor mounted on the front axle. An additional 160 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque are provided by this configuration, which enables all-wheel drive (AWD). Regenerative braking and regular driving are the two most common methods of charging the battery. The powerful Z06 can’t compare to the Chevrolet Corvette SUV, which supposedly can accelerate to 96 km/h from a stop in under 2.5 seconds. This is an improvement of 0.1 second over the Z06.2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Price

Engine and Performance

This electrified supercar-hunter is incredibly fast, and the limited time we spent behind the wheel of the Corvette SUV gave us more than enough of a feel for its handling and powertrain. If the driver starts the Corvette in stealth mode, sneaks out of the parking lot, and presses the accelerator on a clear length of road, the V8 engine may be ignited and propelled forward with tremendous power.  2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs

The eight-speed automatic gearbox allows you to swiftly accelerate with a small touch of the accelerator, eliminating the need to wait for a gear shift. Instantaneous torque, made possible by the electrified setup, is particularly useful for regular driving and makes this conceivable. When a V8 engine is coupled with electric propulsion, it may achieve incredible results.

2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Fuel Economy

Although it isn’t designed for efficiency, the Corvette SUV does have a feature dubbed stealth mode. In this mode, the vehicle’s front wheels are the only source of propulsion, allowing it to traverse six kilometers at speeds of up to 72 kilometers per hour. Doing your best not to wake up your neighbors is your first priority whenever you slip into or out of the driveway at all hours of the morning. Yeah, that’s wrong. If the power from the batteries is insufficient, the V8 engine will begin to run independently.   2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs

2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Safety Features

Chevrolet has been fairly forthright about the fact that the next Corvette SUV will feature a substantially plusher ride, making it ideal for grand touring and long-distance comfort. The fact that it can be traced doesn’t change this. The standard adaptive suspension is a technological marvel; it is fast, comfortable, and still handles turns with confidence. Despite having more mass on the front axle, the Corvette SUV turns in quickly and is quite stable. While the squared-off carbon fiber wheel’s turn-in is fast, it may benefit from more input and feel. The basic all-season tires don’t diminish the strong stopping strength of the standard Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, and the Corvette SUV does an excellent job of transferring power to both axles even in less-than-ideal circumstances.

2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Price and Release Date

With all the available options and trim levels, the estimated price for the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette SUV can go as high as $80,000. The base model starts at roughly $60,000. With affordable pricing having long been a top priority for Corvette, it’s reasonable to expect a five-seat Corvette that offers decent ground clearance, load capacity, and genuine performance to target the value segment.

We expect base models to sell for around the same as the current mid-engine C8 Corvette’s base model, with higher trim levels potentially reaching Z06 territory. However, entry-level cars should be able to sell for around the same. For the time being, though, these estimated costs are only that: estimates. We likely won’t learn much else about the Corvette SUV until we’re closer to its delivery date, as production has not started.  2026 Chevy Corvette SUV Specs
