2026 Chevy Silverado EV Specs, Price, Engine   –   Competition among electric trucks is set to heat up with the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV’s impending launch. The Silverado EV may share a name with Chevy’s best-selling product, but it is fundamentally different from the product in every way, including its platform and bodywork. Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, and Ram 1500 EV are some of the vehicles it will go up against.

Exterior and Interior

Chevrolet claims that the Silverado, which uses an internal combustion engine, has a roomier cabin than its competitors. There is 44.8 inches of front legroom and 44.3 inches of back legroom in the Silverado EV. These proportions are similar to those of the 43.5-inch and 43.4-inch Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, respectively.2026 Chevy Silverado EV Interior

The 5 feet, 11-inch box length is an inch greater than the regular Silverado and four inches greater than the F-150 Lightning. Chevrolet vehicles also had an option for a Multi-Flex Midgate. When folded down, this midgate creates nine square feet of extra room. An additional option is the Multi-Flex tailgate, which may stretch the floor length up to a maximum of ten feet and ten inches. Chevrolet claims that the Silverado EV’s front trunk, which they call the “eTrunk,” is large enough to hold a large luggage and other stuff, even if it’s smaller than the storage compartment in the Ford F-150 Lightning.

A push-start button is unnecessary to start the electric Chevrolet Silverado; instead, drivers can enter the car using a key or a registered mobile phone. The upcoming Silverado electric vehicle will be equipped with Chevrolet’s latest Ultifi software platform. The technology, which is built on Linux, allows for regular software updates while the owner is in possession of it.

Engine and Performance

The Silverado EV, designed with the average buyer in mind, will debut in the fully-loaded RST First Edition trim level. Two permanent-magnet motors, each coupled to a single-speed reduction gearbox, make up the system. Chevrolet has included a Wide-Open Watts (WOW) option that unlocks the full potential of the drivetrain, similar to the Watts to Freedom feature on the GMC Hummer. On the other hand, WOW mode is devoid of sound effects in contrast to GMC. At its most open, the Silverado EV can generate 754 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque. When the 2026 GMC Sierra EV is set to Max Power mode, it produces the same amount of power.2026 Chevy Silverado EV Specs

During manufacturing, the Silverado EV commercial versions will have a dual-motor output capped at 510 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque. At some point in the future, the Silverado electric vehicle will be offered with two-wheel drive and a single motor.  2026 Chevy Silverado EV Specs
