2026 Chevy Colorado Interior, Engine, Colors

2026 Chevy Colorado Interior, Engine, Colors –  Very few vehicles are as successful in our Of the Year programs as the Chevrolet Colorado. The previous-gen midsize pickup managed to snag our highest truck honors twice, and we named the current truck our 2024 Truck of the Year. Unless you regularly find yourself towing more than 8,000 pounds or putting more than 1,600 pounds in the bed, this is as likable a truck as you’ll find. Midsize pickup peers include the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, and GMC Canyon. 2026 Chevy Colorado Interior

2026 Chevy Colorado Redesign and Update Plan

The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado sees the return of the ZR2 Bison Edition package – an off-road package with top-shelf items in the categories of heavy-duty off-road protection and suspension design.

All trim levels are now equipped with the larger digital gauge cluster and are either available or equipped with last year’s top-range engine, however, the mid-range engine option is no longer available nor is the dune-ready Dessert Boss Special Edition package. The Blind Zone Assist system can now include the length of a trailer in tow. 2026 Chevy Colorado Interior2026 Chevy Colorado Price

Exterior & Interior

The Colorado only offers a one configuration: double cab with a 5-foot, 2-inch bed. That’s a bit longer than the Tacoma’s 5-foot option, but Toyota also offers a 6-foot bed option, and you can get a single cab if that’s all you need. The Colorado does have a significant advantage over the Tacoma in interior space, though. On the inside we expect Colorado to look contemporary and spacious. This is a full four doors build and can seat five people comfortably.2026 Chevy Colorado Interior

Plenty of legroom and headroom due to designers doing a good job and placing everything properly. Seating is nothing out of the ordinary. We get leather, fabric, and suede for upholstery material. There is contrasting stitching for some extra style points. Whether multiple colors are available remains to be seen. 2026 Chevy Colorado Interior

Trail Boss is now an official trim for the 2024 Chevy Colorado. It has a wider front and 9.4 inches of ground clearance. We get 18-inch lightweight rims with 32-inch Goodyear Territory AT tires. It is a rugged pickup and ready to take on off-road. Bumpers are prominent and colored differently. Front and rear electronic locking differential.

Underneath the pickup, we have protective skids and under armor to make sure you can ride over pretty much anything. Multimatic Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve dampers are available. This time around they are outside the frame. Some trims also feature a roof-mounted light bed and underbody camera. The pickup looks much more aggressive and it is a look we can get on board with.

2026 Chevy Colorado Specs

The Colorado features an 11-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM. There are four USB ports also included while wireless charging and an additional USB port for the rear passengers are available on the LT trim. 2026 Chevy Colorado Interior

The Colorado’s tech is impressive, especially at the lower end of the trim walk. Every variant comes standard with an 11.3-inch touchscreen and an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus Google integration are included on all models, too. Chevy also offers extensive cameras around the vehicle, including a 360-degree view and an underbody camera for the Z71 and ZR2.

Engine & Performance

The Colorado is now only available with two engines, dropping the previously mid-tier unit. The standard four-cylinder turbocharged engine generates 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque while the upgraded “TurboMax” version of the same displacement puts out 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. It is available on the WT and LT trims for $1,050 and standard on the remaining trim levels.2026 Chevy Colorado Specs

Rear-wheel drive is standard and an automatically engaging part-time four-wheel drive systemis available for $3,300 on the WT and LT trims. The Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 trims include an upgraded four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case as standard. With the base engine, the Colorado is rated to tow 3,500 pounds and 7,700 pounds with the more powerful engine. That number is decreased to a 6,000-pound rating on the ZRZ1 and ZR2 due to their off-road-biased suspensions 2026 Chevy Colorado Interior

2026 Chevy Colorado Fuel Economy

The Colorado has not been fully evaluated by the EPA for the 2024 model year, however, the ratings for the given powertrains are not expected to change. That means the most efficient version (fitted with the less powerful engine and rear-wheel drive) achieves an EPA-estimated 20 miles per gallon city, 25 MPG highway, and 22 combined while the off-road-minded ZR2 with its meatier tires and high-clearance bumpers returns an eye-opening 16 MPG combined. 2026 Chevy Colorado Interior
